Overview

As a Webmaster, I re-designed and helped maintain the company WordPress website, as well as contributed to various digital marketing initiatives pertaining to the website, company social medias, and more.

My primary task was to maintain the company website, implementing new front-end features such as individual team member profiles, client-facing surveys and RSVP forms, and a Careers page. These features were both designed and built using WordPress page builders alongside HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP snippets.

One of my bigger projects in this position involved creating a new vision for the company website alongside the company's graphic designer. This was a project spanning multiple months, from ideation and discovery to development and launch. After selecting a lightweight, highly customizable WordPress theme, I tailored it to the company's needs through custom styling and interactive functionality.

This process, initially an effort to offload the bulkiness of the company website's years-old WordPress theme, saw immediate improvements in load times, user experience, and PageSpeed score.

On top of website development duties I was also in charge of analyzing site traffic through Google Analytics, improving SEO rankings through content and speed optimizations, and running Google Ads campaigns.

When I was not handling website duties, I assisted in day-to-day IT responsibilities such as new employee onboarding, hardware/software troubleshooting, and inventory keeping.
